Black Church Initiative

As a woman of faith, Krystal equips African American faith-based organizations with the basic tools to identify and assist people who may be suffering from a mental health crisis. She provides training in Mental Health First Aid , which is an evidenced based 8 hour training. The course can be broken down into two days to better meet the organization needs. This course nationally certifies trainees to assist in a mental health emergency. Krystal believes that every congregation should have the basic skills to recognize and intervene during a mental health crisis.
